Normalizing Perversion
The reasons for the Left's perverse sexualizing of very young children make sense only if you are sexually neurotic. None of it makes sense if you are a rational, healthy, sexually normal person. For example, what is to be gained by first graders learning about drag queens and transsexuality? Separation of Powers: A “Dogmatic Maxim”
in the Constitution
James Madison considered the separation of powers so important he not only called it a “dogmatic maxim,” he expressly included it as part of his proposed amendments for the Bill of Rights.
Representing the twin-pillars making up the foundation of the Constitution, Madison’s proposal would’ve created a new Article VII – putting separation of powers and what became the 10th Amendment – together in the body of the text.
Much of the debate over ratification revolved around a question over what qualified as a separation of powers. The question was not whether the Constitution would embody the separation of powers to at least some degree, since few denied this at all, but rather, whether the separation was adequate to prevent consolidation – centralization of power – and tyranny.
Aristotle may have been first to mention the idea of a “mixed government” or hybrid government in his work Politics, but the philosophical foundations most influential on the Founders came from the British system.
In 1648, Clement Walker thought the remedy for tyranny lay in a separation of “the Legislative power,” and “the Judicative power.” John Locke’s 2nd Treatise in 1698 distinguished between legislative, executive, and federative powers.
But nothing had more impact on the Founders’ thinking than “the celebrated Montesquieu,” and the “tripartite system” from The Spirit of the Laws (1748).
When the legislative and executive powers are united in the same person, or in the same body of magistrates, there can be no liberty; because apprehensions may arise, lest the same monarch or senate should enact tyrannical laws, to execute them in a tyrannical manner.
Again, there is no liberty, if the judiciary power be not separated from the legislative and executive. Were it joined with the legislative, the life and liberty of the subject would be exposed to arbitrary control; for the judge would be then the legislator. Were it joined to the executive power, the judge might behave with violence and oppression.....

It baffled me right from the start how people could have fallen for the mask mandate. It was easy to prove masks were ineffective and not worth wearing. Furthermore, wearing a mask was like wearing a sign saying, “I am compliant, I do what I am told.”
It was also horrifying to see how angry these mask wearers were—and still are. The Grim Cost of Grooming Children
A couple of months back, we reported that the kids are not alright. American children across the board are suffering from increased anxiety and depression over the last couple of years, and the reasons are myriad. One of the biggest reasons is the devastation wrought by the sexual revolution that began more than 50 years ago. It began with the whole idea of “free love” and sex “without consequences.” It yielded millions of fatherless children — the ones who survive their mothers’ “choice,” anyway.
But in recent years, promiscuity has given way to outright deviancy. The Rainbow Mafia is grooming kids by foisting sex miseducation on them at younger and younger ages, all in what can only be described as a vast and very sick recruitment effort. Kids who are taught to struggle with their sexual “identity” — i.e., they’re learning a mental disorder — are far more likely to exhibit further mental health problems.

Being Alive to Reality
Perceiving metaphysical reality requires being spiritually alive to its presence. It is the virtue of humility which opens the heart in gratitude and the eyes in wonder.
A very thoughtful and thought-provoking comment on my recent essay “Tolkien on Reality” merits a response. Here’s the comment in question: The conflation of “real” and “alive” isn’t helpful. If the hierarchy of reality is such that ex-nihilo is second only to God himself, then atomic particles are at least as real as a horse, but are they just as “alive”?
This is truly an insightful observation, coupled with an incisive question. Both the observation and the question warrant and demand further consideration. Indeed, I am deeply grateful for the intelligence of the question and the further thought that it prompted.
