UC TRAC is pleased to solicit applications for Accelerator Awards in TB Basic Science. Accelerator Awards will be granted up to three times per year to early-stage and new-to-TB investigators and dispersed as salary support for BSL-3 trained personnel who will perform the necessary experiments of the awardee.

The Center for Tuberculosis is excited to announce the launch of the Maternal & Childhood TB Initiative! Chaired by Dr. Devan Jaganath, the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis initiative on Maternal and Childhood TB aims to leverage UCSF's research expertise and partnerships to provide educational opportunities, clinical consultation, and mentorship to faculty and trainees of the UC TRAC community.

The UCSF Center for Tuberculosis launched its DEIAB Initiative in May 2023 and invites Center-affiliated faculty, trainees, and staff to join us in a review of our proposed DEIAB roadmap and implementation plan.


The DEIAB Committee, chaired by Dr. Gustavo Velásquez, advised by Drs. Midori Kato-Maeda and Elizabeth Fair and coordinated by Thea Sigerman, is joined by Drs. Paul Ogongo, Mohamad Dandan, Jon Budzik, with Ariana Austin.

Devan Jaganath, Chair of the Center's Maternal & Childhood TB Initiative and TB RAMP Alum 2023, was recently awarded his first R01 from NHLBI for a project entitled, “Automated lung sound analysis to improve the clinical diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis in children”.
