A Celebration of TOT-TBID Dollars At Work


Join the NTCA and North Tahoe Chamber for our monthly mixer on May 16 from 4-6 p.m. at the Boatworks Mall. Celebrate the $5 million invested in North Tahoe through the Annual Grant Cycle projects and events funded by the TOT-TBID Dollars At Work program, and connect, support local businesses, and see the community impact firsthand! There will be appetizers, drinks, and raffle prizes, including a $250 gift card for the Boatworks Inn.

TBID Funds 13 Additional 2024 Events


At the recommendation of the volunteer Business and Chamber Advisory Committee, the North Tahoe Community Alliance (NTCA) Board of Directors awarded $192,500 in funding generated by TOT-TBID Dollars At Work to 13 events scheduled to take place in North Lake Tahoe later this year.


Events that received funding in this round include:

Job Fair Targets Recruitment Challenge for Business Owners


The North Tahoe Chamber joined forces with the Golden Sierra Job Training Agency and Placer County to orchestrate a cutting-edge initiative: a virtual job fair. This collaborative effort aimed to address the pressing issue of employment by providing a platform for job seekers and businesses to connect seamlessly in a digital environment throughout April. Leveraging the power of technology, the event facilitated meaningful interactions, bridging the gap between employers with job openings and individuals seeking employment opportunities. Thank you to the 42 job seekers who registered and the 21 employers who actively participated!

May 18: Ditde’huya lada’êšip hulew - "All of Our Land Make It Right With Our Hands Together"


The North Lake Tahoe community is invited to attend a Washoe cultural event, hosted by the Gatekeeper’s Museum on Saturday, May 18. Members of the Washoe community, independent artists and conservation groups are holding a community-centered conversation about the Rights of Nature and the future of Da’aw’ ‘Tahoe. This event will include Washoe-led song, dance, stories, demonstrations and discussions as well as museum and garden tours.
