Office Announcements
Personal Tax Organizers have been sent out. Contact our office if you have not received yours and would like one.

Please note: If documents for personal tax returns are not submitted for the 2023 tax season by March 15, there is a good chance that an extension will need to be filed on your behalf.

  • Filing an extension simply moves the filing deadline from April 18 to October 15.
  • If you anticipate receiving a refund on your return, no action is required on your part at the time the extension is filed.
  • If you typically end up owing on your return, your accountant will advise that you submit an estimated payment at the time the extension is filed to avoid any penalties.
  • Allied CPAs, PC does not charge an additional fee for filing an extension.

Xpitax® Tax Outsourcing: As in the past, Allied CPAs, PC will be utilizing a program that will allow a select group of tax returns to be prepared by a team of remote employees. In order for your return to be selected, you must sign the Consent to Foreign Disclosure form which was sent out with your tax organizer. It is not required that you sign this form. If you do not sign it, your return will continue to be processed at our local offices. The decision to utilize this service was made so that our clients' returns can be prepared in the most efficient manner during the current national labor shortage. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your accountant directly.

Budget Check Up: Tax Time Is the Right Time
Every year, about 140 million households file their federal tax returns. For many, the process involves digging through shoe boxes or manila folders full of receipts; gathering mortgage, retirement, and investment account statements; and relying on computer software to take advantage of every tax break the code permits.1

It seems a shame not to make the most of all that effort.

Tax preparation may be the only time of year many households gather all their financial information in one place. That makes it a perfect time to take a critical look at how much money is coming in and where it’s all going. In other words, this is a great time to give the household budget a checkup.

A thorough budget checkup involves six steps. Click here to read more...

Term insurance is the simplest form of life insurance. Here's how it works.
Umbrella liability can be a fairly inexpensive way to help shelter current assets and future income from the unexpected.
Creating an inventory of your possessions can save you time, money and aggravation in the event you someday suffer losses.
