Week 1:
Active Sport: Soccer Waiting Sport: Baseball
Week 2:
Active Sport: Basketball Waiting Sport: Hockey
Week 3:
Active Sport: Football Waiting Sport: Tennis
Week 4:
Active Sport: Volleyball Waiting Sport: Lacrosse
During this month the children will be doing obstacle courses in the beginning of class that focus on balance, agility, direction following, and task orientation. Between each sport lesson the children will remain moving with exercises such as Kangaroo Hops, Crab Walks, Tick- Tocks, and so on. The children will learn stretches and movements that involve the following muscles: Abs, Obliques, Triceps, Biceps, Quads, Hamstrings, Lats, and Lumbar. The skills being learned this month are Gallops, Hops, Hand-Eye Coordination, Balance, and body positioning. During each sport lesson we will play games that allow the children to learn how to use the equipment as well as carry out the movements that are required to perform each sport.
