Code Enforcement Reminder

As we are all aware, summer is here and the warmer temps will invite grasses, weeds, bushes and trees to flourish.

Peachtree Corners City Code Enforcement would like to take this opportunity to remind all property owners, tenants and business owners of their responsibility in maintaining this vegetation to provide a safer and healthier environment.

Additionally, it is the responsibility of the owner and/or occupant to remove any noxious matter and dead trees and shrubs due to the hazard they pose to residents and pedestrians.

MOWING & TRIMMING REMINDERS

* The chore of mowing and trimming grass is significantly easier when the grass is short. Watch the weather and maintain a mowing/trimming schedule.

* Don't forget about the trim work along buildings, fences and other borders.

* Bagged clippings need to be removed unless they are utilized as mulch or compost in amounts that do not cause foul odors.

* Please do not forget to mow/trim the median strips (area between the sidewalk and the curb).

Walter Osorio,

Code Enforcement Officer

Happy Birthday - The City Turns Two

On July 1, 2014 Peachtree Corners celebrated its second year as Gwinnett County's newest and largest city.

City leaders have made great strides in those two short years. The list the city is extensive. Click here to read 24 of the major goals achieved during the city's first 24 months:

ZIP Code Update
The United States Postal Service has changed its records and now officially recognizes the City of Peachtree Corners, well most of it anyway.

The city recently received confirmation that the U.S. Post Office will now recognize that ZIP code 30092 as Peachtree Corners. This means that any online activity, such as when ordering from a website, 30092 will automatically default to Peachtree Corners once all systems are updated.

For the handful of residents whose ZIP code is 30092 but live in Norcross, they will have the option to select Norcross when completing their information online.

For those with 30096, 30097 and 30071 ZIP codes, there will now be an option to select Peachtree Corners. ZIP codes 30096 and 30097 will default to Duluth, with an option to select Peachtree Corners and 30071 will default to Norcross with an option to select Peachtree Corners.

However, Peachtree Corners residents with a 30360 ZIP code will have to wait a bit longer due to limitations by the USPS.
