Potluck International Luncheon
September 22, After Sunday Worship
Join us for our annual Potluck International Luncheon on Sunday, September 22 following morning worship in the Fellowship Hall.  Please bring your favorite dish to share – the more international flavor the better!  We look forward to having members of our congregation share their special international dishes and speak about their heritage and church origins.

This luncheon will be our opportunity to meet our new Director of Family Ministries, Kimberly Stokesbary Briggs (who goes by Kimmy). We are very excited to have Kimmy join us so mark your calendars – find your favorite international recipe – and help us welcome Kimmy to First Presbyterian!

Sounds of Support on the Square
Volunteers Needed
Our support group for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) wants everyone to know that it is Suicide Prevention Month. As such they are supporting the Newton-Rockdale Suicide Prevention Coalition to provide information and education to our community:

Sounds of Support: On Friday September 27th, there will be a free, all ages, multi-genre, concert and health/wellnesss fair on the Covington Square. (Members of FPC will participate in the concert!)

Volunteers are needed with golf carts who might be willing to shuttle drivers for the evening. Volunteers are also needed on the square at the close of the concert at 8:30 pm for clean-up.

Benefit Dinner Props: NAMI is also in process of planning next winter’s benefit dinner with decorative props. As summer comes to a close, if you have any left over pool noodles that you might be willing to donate, please don’t throw them away. When in doubt, recycle.

Remember to save the date of January 25, 2020 for a Pirates Treasure Hunt at Salem United Methodist Church.

For both of the above items, please reach out to Caryn Thompson at 518-424-4559 or
