Greetings!

I recently got a chance to table With Dark Sky Oregon at OMSI for their Out of this World event. During that event I met some folks from the Rose City Astronomers, and I also was reminded of this report: Dark Skies: Strategies for Reducing Light Pollution in Portland - that I'm hoping to get in front of all City Council members and our mayor. This report was finished in 2020 and never really got the attention that it should have.

Perhaps this was due to politics and perhaps due to Covid. So join along with me and let's read this report and see if we can't make some change here in Portland.

I try to attend the monthly Dark Sky Oregon meeting. In today's meeting a couple of fun items came up. One was beads that glow and another was a black light flashlight.

You can also see below some upcoming events that Dark Sky Oregon is hosting or involved in.

Please help me get the word out about this issue by using the share buttons above. I hope you're having a great summer and let's hope the smoke clears soon.
