Dear
(Contact First Name),
|
|
We
wish everyone a happy, healthy start to the autumn season. This
time of year is filled with activities: We have 80 people already
enrolled in our Gerson Basics Workshop that will be held the end of
the month. Last month three caregiver interns had a successful
hands-on, week-long training at the Charlotte Gerson Health
Restoration Center. Charlotte's speech at the annual Cancer Control
Society convention had a standing ovation. And Dr. Gerson's
birthday is October 18th.
German Edition of Dr. Gerson's book

rare, very aggressive cancer called Epithelioid Sarcoma. She went
to the Gerson Clinic in April of this year. She is now continuing
the therapy at home, and writes a blog called Wellness Warrior. You
can read her post about a day in the life of a Gerson patient here. |

Angiogenesis |
Watch an interesting video on cancer and angiogenesis, and what
foods prevent angiogenesis, from the TED (Technology, Education and
Design) annual conference (which brings together some of the
world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to
give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes). watch here. |

Think
before you Pink |
For the past 25 years, October has been Breast Cancer Awareness
Month (BCAM), using pink ribbons. BCAM was actually started by the
drug company Astra Zeneca (which manufactures breast cancer drugs)
and the pink ribbon originated from the Estee Lauder cosmetics
company.
According
to an article in The Nation magazine, November 15, 1993,
BCAM was conceived and paid for by a British chemical company that
both profits from this epidemic and may be contributing to its
cause. Imperial Chemical Industries (I.C.I.), along with two
nonprofit cancer groups, co-founded BCAM in 1985. The event has
grown in influence. The thirteen institutions now on its board
include the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer
Institute, and it has become fashionable. But since the beginning,
all BCAM's bills have been paid by Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals,
the name of I.C.I.'s U.S. subsidiary.
Breast
Cancer Action has pointed out that BCAM avoids discussion of the
causes and prevention of breast cancer and instead focuses on
"awareness" as a way to encourage women to get their mammograms.
They have used the term Pinkwashing to describe the actions of
companies which manufacture and use chemicals which show a link
with breast cancer and at the same time publicly support charities
focused on curing the disease. Other criticisms center on the
marketing of "pink products" and tie-ins, citing that more money is
spent marketing these campaigns than is donated to the cause (from
Wikipedia).

Watch a video of Bill Clinton on CNN describe how
the work of Cleveland Clinic surgeon Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. led
Clinton to embrace a nearly 100% plant-based lifestyle, losing 24
pounds in the process.

Frequently
Asked Questions |
Q. Why
aren't colonics a part of the Gerson Therapy?
A.Colonics do
not serve the same purpose as the coffee enema. Colonics are used
to cleanse the bowel. Coffee enemas are used to increase the
liver's detoxification capacity. Certain substances in the coffee
stimulate an important detoxification enzyme in the liver as well
as dilate the bile ducts and increase the flow of bile. A secondary
benefit of the coffee enema is to increase peristalsis which helps
to empty the bowel. Read more....

"I
had malignant melanoma in 1987. It is all gone. If for some reason,
cancer ever returned in my body, I would do the Gerson Program all
over again. There is nothing better or nothing healthier than this
program."
