Applications for Annual Grant Cycle Open
Applications for the NTCA's Annual Grant Cycle, part of the Community Vitality and Economic Health Investment Program (CIP), are currently open. This initiative is designed to fund projects and programs for one year, with the potential to kickstart longer initiatives. The grant cycle is geared toward projects ready for immediate implementation upon approval.

Applications for Summer 2024 Event Funding Open
NTCA is accepting applications to fund events scheduled in North Lake Tahoe between May 1 - July 30, 2024. The funds, generated by the North Lake Tahoe Tourism Business Improvement District (NLT-TBID), will support events that promote community vitality, environmental stewardship, and economic health in the region.
Historically, these events have been human-powered sports, cultural, and health and wellness-focused. Submission criteria and the application process are outlined on the NTCA website. January 19, 2024 is the deadline to submit applications. New events and events that have not previously been funded are encouraged to apply.

Project Spotlight: BEBOT
ECO-CLEAN Solutions implemented BEBOT, the beach cleaning robot, to remove beach litter that is hard to detect, including microplastics. BEBOT visited the Kings Beach State Recreation area this summer and plans to expand operations around the North Shore.

Devin Middlebrook, representing TRPA and Nicole Gorman, representing Everline Resort and Spa have been appointed to the NTCA Board of Directors, which meets on the first Wednesday of each month.

Truckee River Trail Murals Approved
Known as the Truckee River Bridge Mural Project, proposed murals would be located beneath the bridge at each side along the trail’s undercrossings, visible to those using the trail or river. The nonprofit Fox Cultural Hall brought forward the project proposal, which has served the North Lake Tahoe region for nearly 40 years.

Community Partner Spotlight: Tahoe Food Hub's Giving Boxes
The Tahoe Food Hub’s Giving Box Program ensures equal access to the fresh, seasonal, sustainably-grown food that Tahoe Food Hub sources from local farms within 100 miles of North Lake Tahoe. Those looking for a way to give to others this holiday season are invited to donate a Giving Box. $20 provides a local family with a box of fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms that provides 3-4 meals. The Tahoe Food Hub partners with Tahoe Truckee Unified School District’s Food Pantry program, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Calvary Chapel to reach families throughout North Lake Tahoe who are facing food insecurity. All Giving Boxes come with recipes and cooking tips.
