Passenger Count Up at BTR
BTR total passenger volume was up 9.4% in November at 59,251. Our year-to-date the passenger count through November is 612,178, representing a 19.3% increase over 2021, and giving BTR the second highest passenger volume among Louisiana airports. American has the highest share of BTR passengers to date at 43.2%, followed by Delta at 34.7% and United at 22.1%. Thanks to all of our passengers for flying BTR!

Traveling with a Firearm? Remember to:
- Ensure the firearm is unloaded
- Pack it in a hard-sided, locked gun case
- Declare it to the airline at the counter when checking luggage
According to TSA, too many travelers simply don’t look inside their bags to make sure a gun is not in it. Nationally, the TSA has found more than 5,000 guns at the nation’s airport checkpoints this year and was on track earlier this year to break the all-time record.
REAL ID Deadline Extended Again
The Department of Homeland Security announced that the deadline for enforcement of REAL ID has been extended from May 3, 2023, to May 7, 2025, giving states two more years to ensure their residents have compliant driver’s licenses and identification cards.
