SFE Supports Launch of New Center of Excellence

As part of our "360 Degrees of Impact", Silicon Forest Electronics has been an active participant in the formation and emergence of Washington State's newest Center of Excellence - Semiconductors & Electronics Manufacturing.

Led by Associate Director Mohammed Maraee (pictured, left), and under the direction of Executive Director Mary Kaye Bredeson (pictured, center), the Center is one of eleven in Washington State, serving as statewide liaisons representing the needs and interests of specific industry sections.  Through an ongoing investment, centers are charged with narrowing the gap between employer workforce needs and the colleges' supply of work-ready graduates. The centers are a critical component of the state's strategy of sustaining an innovative and vibrant economy.

Silicon Forest Electronics supports both of our respective COE's with board participation and active partner engagement with our K-12 schools and Community/Technical Colleges.  We are excited about the future growth of electronics manufacturing for our industry & education partners!
