A Word From The Founder
Greetings!

When we launched the Palm Beach Hedge Fund Association just a mere 3 years ago, none of us even imagined the rapid growth in both influence and membership that has been witnessed over the last 36 months.

Our first humble meeting on a windy and rainy night at Bradley's in West Palm Beach with 8 attendees, including the directors, planted the seeds for today's association.  

The PBHFA has expanded to become an official Florida non-profit organization with 501c(3) status pending with the Federal Government.  

We currently boast over 1400 active members consisting of the creme de la creme of Palm Beach County and South Florida's leading hedge fund and alternative asset professionals.  

The growth of the PBHFA has mirrored the explosive growth & virtually unlimited potential of Palm Beach County and South Florida as an ideal domicile for hedge funds and alternative asset firms.  Latest statistics reveal that South Florida is presently home to 60 hedge funds, 19 private equity firms, and over 200 family offices, per the Newlink Group. Most positively, HedgeCo reports that 29 hedge funds have opened in the region since 2015.  

Nearly every day, our phone rings with a fund or alternative asset professional seeking information on  relocating or launching a new business in the South Florida region.  While the multi-billion dollar hedge funds garner the headlines and pave the way to the region, what has us most thrilled are the countless start-ups and smaller niche oriented hedge funds and money management firms sprouting up all around us.  It is from the fertile soil and welcoming atmosphere of Palm Beach County that a multitude of these startups will gain enough traction to move into the big leagues of global financial influence.  

We are extremely excited about this trend and plan to continue to serve the Palm Beach and South Florida hedge fund and alternative asset community long into the future.  

We have a compelling roster of events planned for the 2016/17 season including our launch party on October 19th in Boca Raton and an exclusive hedge fund executive roundtable gourmet dinner in November at Miami's The Forge restaurant.
