Meet The Saltman Center's New Co-Director Aparna Polavarapu
When you first meet Professor Aparna Polavarapu, it is clear she is not someone who followed a predictable path. Sure, she’s got the résumé: a J.D. and LL.M. from Georgetown University, M.A.L.D. from The Fletcher School, and years of teaching and research in human rights and restorative justice. But what stands out most is how much heart she brings to the work.
Faculty affiliated with the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution continue to shape national and international conversations about law, justice, and dispute resolution. Their recent publications, presentations, and projects reflect the depth and diversity of scholarship at Boyd Law.
Joe Itkoff (’26) and Sean Jarchow (’26) represented Boyd School of Law at the ABA Regional Student Negotiation Competition, held October 18–19, 2025, at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. The team was coached by Visiting Professor and Distinguished Saltman Fellow Patrick Chapin.
A Conversation on Business, Vision, and the Roots of the Saltman Center
On Monday, October 20, 2025, the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution and the Dispute Resolution Society hosted Meet Michael Saltman, an event celebrating the life, work, and vision of the Center’s namesake. The conversation was moderated by Visiting Professor and Distinguished Saltman Fellow Patrick Chapin.
2026 Beecroft Lecture to Feature Philosopher Jennifer Lackey on "Epistemic Reparations"
The Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution is pleased to announce that Jennifer Lackey, the Wayne and Elizabeth Jones Professor of Philosophy and Professor of Law at Northwestern University, will deliver the 2026 Beecroft Lecture on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Her talk is titled, "Epistemic Reparations and the Right be Known in our Criminal Legal System."
