Important Notice to Short-Term Property Managers

The April 6, 2020 New Mexico Public Health Order and Governor’s Executive Order from that same date extended the closure of non-essential businesses through April 30, 2020 and set forth several other changes to the Public Health Order of March 23, 2020. Of importance to short-term property managers, the April 6, 2020 Orders PROHIBIT the operation of short-term vacation rentals of rooms, apartments and houses. The term “short-term” is not defined in either Order and may vary from one municipality to another. Check with your local tax authority for the most up-to-date definition.

Important Notice to Brokers Working with Customers/Clients
from Out-of-State

Per the Governor’s Executive Order of March 27, 2020, all individuals traveling to New Mexico through an airport AND whose point of departure originates outside of New Mexico are REQUIRED to self-isolate or self-quarantine for 14 days from the date of their entry into the State or for the duration of their presence in the State, whichever is shorter. The term ‘self-isolate” or “self-quarantine” refers to the voluntary physical separation of a person or group of people in a residence or other place of lodging. Individuals who do not comply with the self-isolation and self-quarantine directives are subject to involuntary isolation or quarantine by the New Mexico Department of Health under the Public Health Emergency Response Act.
