Multi-Sensory Play Space Opens in Eureka

Conserving Iconic Folk Art

The Humboldt Arts Council is thrilled to announce a major preservation project dedicated to safeguarding one of Humboldt County’s most celebrated cultural treasures: the Romano Gabriel Wooden Sculpture Garden.

Thanks to generous grant funding from the renowned Kohler Foundation, HAC is initiating vital structural restorations to the dedicated exhibition space housing the artwork.

Caltrans Seeking Public Input on Strategic Plan

Caltrans is currently updating the Interregional Transportation Strategic Plan, and it is hosting online input workshops to gather feedback from freight stakeholders, agencies, and the public. These workshops will help inform how interregional projects are identified, scored, and prioritized.

Rental Market Snapshot

To keep investors and residents informed, our premier member, Rentor, crunched the numbers for July, and Humboldt County’s rental market remains incredibly competitive. Strong demand has pushed the occupancy rate to a staggering 99%, while the average time a unit stays vacant sits at just 20 days.

With delinquency rates holding strong at under 1% and average rents at $2,317 for a 3-bed/2-bath (and $1,467 for a 2-bed/1-bath), the local market continues to operate at peak efficiency.
