The ideal candidate for this position has experience in program management and will be excited about managing several programs in collaboration with other team members.

September is Volunteer Month in Eureka!


Join the City of Eureka all month long for volunteering and enter to win prizes.


Individuals who attend all four events in Volunteer Month will be entered into the grand prize drawing for a chance to win a $250 Pierson’s Building Center gift card! There will be opportunities for additional prizes available throughout the month.

Bring the Whole Family to the Da' Yas Park Grand Opening


The City of Eureka invites the community to celebrate the completely renovated Da' Yas Park with an afternoon of family-friendly fun. Check out the upgrades, which include an accessible custom watershed-themed playground, multi-sports court, fitness equipment, and more.

Generosity Kicks off the New School Year - Apply for Rotary Grants


The Rotary Club of Eureka has awarded a $2,000 grant to Eureka City Schools for the upcoming school year. This funding helped supply durable backpacks for approximately 90 middle and high school students, easing the financial strain on local families.


Local organizations interested in applying for the next round of small grants are encouraged to do so by September 30. For more information, visit www.rotary1.org. 


Celebrate Bears and Brews at Oktobearfest


Guests 21 and over are invited to kick off the harvest season with Oktobearfest at Sequoia Park Zoo.


This adults-only science night celebrates bears and brews while benefiting conservation and animal programs at the Zoo. Event highlights include special animal feedings and keeper talks, conservation and education stations, tree-climbing demonstrations, live art by Ben Goulart: The Mural Man, Zoo trivia, live polka music, pumpkin-carving by master carver Mike Craghead and more.

Petrusha Law Supports Mental Health Work in Our Community


Petrusha Law is proud to announce that Tamarie Ryder, Bookkeeper selected NAMI Humboldt as the recipient of this month’s $1,000 donation, as part of the firm’s “10 Years, $10,000 Thanks” campaign. Tamarie, the firm’s independent bookkeeper for the past decade, nominated NAMI Humboldt to honor its vital work supporting mental health in our community.

Compass Community Credit Union recently supported two non-profits helping to better our local community. A donation was presented to the Humboldt Library Foundation for their book mobile and a donation was presented to the Eureka Community Services to provide scholarships for children’s camp.
