As the organization focuses on Sustainability , Communications and Marketing will continue  to provide outreach and education to the community on environmental best practices. This includes  promoting renewable energy usage in the community by featuring energy success stories that showcase residents and business owners in the Our Future Largo enewsletter and other social media channels. In partnership with  outside organizations such as Suncoast Rise Above Plastics and the Surfrider Foundation, staff will make available educational information that promotes waste reduction including the reduction of single-use plastics. Staff will also continuealong with community partners including Suncoast Rise Above Plastics, t o research local businesses and other Florida communities to better understand the specific impact of single-use plastics in Largo.
