Back To School: Scenes From LDF Public School

The fall season welcomes students back to school. This week's E-news includes a variety of activities as the students enter the new school year. From Pop Warner Football to Grade 7 students participating in team-building during an exercise working together using certain objects to pick up cups and place them in different patterns to painting and learning about respect and more, there's a lot of activity throughout all grade levels. Enjoy!

Youth Funds Committee Hosts 2nd Annual Hoops Tourney

The LDF Youth Funds Committee hosted its second annual youth basketball tournament at Thunderbird Park this past week. The tournament saw 3-on-3 teams compete in Grades 2-5, Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12. Tons of prizes were given away for teams finishing in the top 3 for each age division, including MVP awards for Grades 6-12 players. The event also included a free throw contest and youth spectator raffle. Terrific time was had by all!
