Halloween Spooktacular Fun!

The Thomas Beaver Free Library will be one of the stops on the scavenger hunt for Danville's Healthy Halloween.

On Saturday, October 23rd, be sure to stop by the library between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm for fun, activities, and surprises.

  • Help "Miss Beth" create her pumpkin patch by coloring decorations!
  • Anyone who comes in costume will receive a goody bag!
  • Best of all, browse all our books and find the perfect book to read!

Libby asks "Quieres leer libros en espanol?"
As part of their Everyone Reads programs, Overdrive is making a collection of over 70 Spanish Titles for Young Readers available through Libby with unlimited access through October 2023! This bundle includes Spanish-language ebooks and Read-Along titles.


Got Books?
The Friends of the Thomas Beaver Free Library will have their doors open to the Book Nook every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for book donations. Books must be in good condition and please no reference books. They will also be selling books so it is a great time to pick up a few new ones too!
Talking Circle

Book Worms Book Club

This month the Book Worms will be discussing The Taster by V.S. Alexander. All are welcome even if you didn't finish the book!.


Library History - Did You Know?

Jesse L. Beaver, the nephew of Thomas Beaver, was given the role of caretaker of the Library as a stipulation of Thomas Beaver's endowment. Jesse held this role for 31 years between 1888 -1919 until his death.
