City of Edmonton/ATU 569 ratify new Collective Agreement

The City of Edmonton and the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 569 (ATU) have agreed to the terms of a new collective agreement. Yesterday, Edmonton City Council voted to ratify the terms of a resolution agreement, which is the final step of the bargaining process. ATU 569 members voted to ratify the terms on March 28, 2022. 

“We are very pleased to have finalized an agreement that balances the needs of our 2,200 ATU employees with our commitment to be fiscally responsible,” said Deputy City Manager Kim Armstrong. “The employees included in this agreement provide excellent service to Edmontonians and this agreement will enable those efforts to continue.”

The terms of the 3-year agreement (2020-2023) include a general wage adjustment of 0 per cent in 2021, 1 per cent in 2022 and 2 per cent in 2023. 

The City will begin to implement the agreement effective immediately.
