Rochester, NY–June 21, 2022–The CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival 19th edition heads into its last five days today, and will wrap up on Saturday, June 25. This year's festival will deliver 325 shows at 19 diverse indoor and outdoor venues in downtown Rochester NY. All venues are within walking distance of each other.

More than 1750 musicians are coming from around the world to play. A record 130 shows are free this year including the entire headliner seriesJam sessions close out the festival nightly at the Hyatt Regency Rochester, where you never know who will show up to play. And Jazz Workshops provide a unique opportunity for music students of all ages to learn from visiting artists performing at the festival.

The Grammy-winning trumpeter and composer, born and raised in New York City. Nabaté released his debut album called, 'Eclectic Excursions' in the Summer of 2018. The independent album was in the Top-50 in the JazzWeek charts for 6 weeks (peaking at #34) and is receiving critical acclaim. Read more

Chris and Dan Brubeck have been making music together practically all their lives. Drummer Dan and bassist, trombonist, and composer Chris cut their first record together nearly a half-century ago. They’ve played a variety of styles in a number of groups, and with their father, jazz giant Dave Brubeck, and with their own Brubeck Brothers Quartet. Read more

Health Guidelines
In accordance with Monroe County public health official recommendations and the University of Rochester for Kilbourn Hall, Hatch Hall, Max of Eastman Place, and Ray Wright Room 120, face masks are optional. Proof of vaccination is not required. Please see the full guidelines here.

Masks are available courtesy of Rochester Regional Health at the First Aid Tent on Gibbs Street (5-9 PM daily) and at Kilbourn Hall, Hatch Hall, Max, and the Jazz Workshops.

COVID-19 is a highly contagious disease that can be extremely dangerous to people of all ages, especially to those who are elderly and/or have compromised immune systems.
