LONGMONT, CO, NOVEMBER 12, 2019
— On
Saturday, December 7
, the Longmont Symphony Orchestra (LSO) and the Boulder Ballet will present
“The Gentle Nutcracker,”
a sensory-friendly abridged version of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker Ballet for individuals with special needs and their families.
“An exciting part of our 2019-20 season is that, in addition to our presentation of
The Nutcracker
with the Boulder Ballet, we’ve made our
Gentle Nutcracker
, designed for individuals with special needs and their families, into an annual event," said LSO music director
Elliot Moore
. "This, combined with our robust outreach in schools, 5th Grade Concerts, and January Family Concert—featuring the timeless classic
Peter and the Wolf
—shows how music can unite the entire spectrum of our community and touch people’s lives.”
