STEM School Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Kettering, OH, 9/10/2018 -
The Dayton Regional STEM School is celebrating 10 Years of Innovation during the 2018-19 school year.
Founded in 2009, the Dayton Regional STEM School is a public, independent STEM school dedicated to preparing students with the skills necessary to compete in the global economy. We accomplish this through a project-based learning curriculum that is designed to foster engaged learners. Regional partnerships are an important ingredient in our educational model and are critical to our success. Our goal is to prepare students to fill the important workforce needs of the Dayton region and throughout Ohio.
STEM served 90 9th grade students in its first year. Today, over 670 students in 6th-12th grade come from over 30 districts and six counties to experience this unique and innovative learning environment that focuses on STEM principles, project-based learning, and career exploration.
The success of the school and students would not be possible without the families, partners, and regional leaders who have shown their steadfast support for the past decade. We'd like to thank our stakeholders for an amazing 10 Years of Innovation and we look forward to sharing many more decades of success with the Dayton community.
