San Gabriel to host 5th annual Dumpling & Beer Fest October 4 in Mission District
San Gabriel, CA The City of San Gabriel will host its 5th annual Dumpling & Beer Fest this Friday, October 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the historic San Gabriel Mission District at 320 South Mission Drive. This year’s event will include over 20 beer varieties, dumpling food vendors, DJs, live bands, a dumpling eating contest and interactive photo opportunities.

The San Gabriel Dumpling & Beer Fest is an annual event that brings together Los Angeles County’s bustling dumpling scene with the region’s trending craft beer scene. San Gabriel’s Dumpling & Beer Fest will feature ABK, Angel City Brewing, Pacific Plate Brewing Company, Ogopogo Brewing, Lagunitas, Mt. Lowe Brewing and Firestone Walker Brewing Company among others.

Hosting this year’s dumpling eating contest is actor Jimmy Wong, who stars as Ling from Disney’s upcoming live-action film “Mulan.” Headlining this year's event is Mestizo Beat, a collective of musicians based out of Los Angeles who compose and perform music influenced by the early 1970s era funk, soul, afro-beat and afro-Cuban genre.

Admission to the event is free and open to the general public. Dumplings and other foods may be purchased directly from vendors and food trucks. Guests are encouraged to purchase their unlimited beer tasting ticket for $29 through Eventbrite until October 4 at 5:00 p.m. Tickets will be $40 at the door until 8:30 p.m. or while supplies last. You must be 21 or older and present valid government issued ID to obtain your wristband at check-in.
