FREDERICKSBURG, VA (March 2026)— Central Rappahannock Regional Library is proud to announce that Jenny McGee, Library on the Go (LOTG) Specialist at Howell Branch, has been named Staff Member of the Year by the Virginia Public Library Directors Association (VPLDA). This award recognizes excellence in libraries serving populations over 100,001. In 2025 alone, McGee personally assisted over 4,000 customers with library services across 18 senior living facilities across the City of Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, and Stafford County and was instrumental in the rollout of a new mobile library vehicle serving rural Westmoreland County residents. Her work provides essential technology access, books, and social connection for residents who cannot easily visit a physical branch. |
