BUDGETS REFLECT THE VALUE OF #MORETHANWATER
It’s budget workshop season for our Member Cities and Customers, and NTMWD is diligently analyzing and refining our budget to ensure we are able to meet the needs of our continuously growing region in the most cost efficient ways possible. Even with an expected increase, our North Texas communities will see final billing costs falling below state averages, which remains less than most other household expenses like cell phones, internet, and cable television.  Read more .
REGIONAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WORKSHOP
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is holding a Regional Financial Assistance Workshop in Greenville, Tuesday, August 7. The TWDB regional project team for your area, along with TWDB program coordinators, will be on hand to discuss specific projects and answer questions.

REMINDER - FIRST SATURDAY DROP-OFF DAY SUSPENDED
Due to TXDOT construction of State Highway 121 around the North Texas Municipal Water District 121 Regional Disposal Facility in Melissa, Collin County is suspending the monthly First Saturday Citizen Trash Drop-Off Day beginning August 2018. Please check their website for future updates.

The landfill will still accept trash from citizens willing to pay. Learn more .
NEW SIGNS IDENTIFY WATERSHED PROTECTION AREA
Just in time for National Water Quality Month highlighting the importance of water source protection, you may see Lavon Lake Watershed identifying markers being installed in several of our cities and around Lavon Lake. These signs are a simple way to raise awareness about the Lavon Lake watershed, our water sources, water quality and conservation. We still have signs available if your city would like to partner with us on sign installation.  Read more .

TEXAS WATER 2019 - ABSTRACT SUBMISSION NOW OPEN
Texas Water 2019 announced the call for abstracts earlier this year and the deadline to submit is September 18.
