Camp Registration is Open!

We are thrilled to announce that we are gearing up for another wonderful season of summer camp and registration is open! Visit the camp website to learn about all the programs available and get registered early for fee discounts. We also have scholarships available through our SEGA/Orchard Crest Permanent Fund. Applications are due June 1. It may be Lent but it's never too early to be thinking about SUMMER!

Storm Damage

Last Friday night much of the Region experienced quite a storm, complete with extreme wind and hail. Florissant Valley CC near St. Louis had to cancel worship on Sunday due to the power lines being downed by a fallen tree. Luckily their building was spared damage. If your congregation was affected by the storm, Week of Compassion may be able to help.

Voices of Arrow Rock Great Protector

Arrow Rock Federated Church continues their partnership with Voices of Arrow Rock, a readers theatre series that brings to life the stories of forgotten and underrepresented people. Their next performance is Great Protector on April 5. This episode follows Little Osage warrior Mo'n-Sho'n A-ki-Da Tonka as he visited Thomas Jefferson and helped US government officials establish trade with the Osage people. All are invited. Mid-America clergy can also add on some pre-reading and a post-performance discussion to qualify the performance as an ARPRJM training renewal course. Learn more>

Super Cluster May 15

Each month, many of our Mid-America clergy gather together in "clergy cluster" groups for a chance to chat, reflect, learn, and support other pastors in their area. Occasionally, a "super cluster" event will connect multiple smaller groups for a special program. We encourage all clergy in the Region to save the date of May 15 for such an event being planned at Community CC in Jefferson City. We will be welcoming Brian Kaylor and Beau Underwood to share in a discussion of their book Baptizing America: How Mainline Protestants Helped Build Christian Nationalism. Watch for registration details, including a virtual option, coming soon.

Reconciliation Grant Apps Due 3/31

Our Anti-Racism/Pro-Reconciling Justice Ministries team will be accepting grant applications until March 31. Grants under this program are to intended to combat racism and its root, systemic causes and be used for anti-poverty works only if such works contribute directly to the work of racial justice and reconciliation. ALEX Reporting

We are so grateful to the 51 congregations that have already submitted their yearbook reports via ALEX! This Friday 3/21, system administrators are going to perform a "test total" of all data input by that time. If possible, congregations should have their reports submitted by then. The system will, however, remain open for reports to be completed through the end of the month. If your congregation hasn't reported yet, get started here>
