Community CC Holds Rummage Sale to Benefit Salvation Army

On October 27-28, Community Christian Church in Jefferson City held a rummage sale. The members were told by Pastor Craig Kirby-Grove to clean out their closets, their basements, and their attics. They followed his instructions and the fellowship hall of the church was full of tables artfully holding everything from a computer monitor to a 1950s tube radio. The purpose of selling all these treasures was to buy food for the local Salvation Army. Profits from the sale reached just short of $1,300 to help fill the cabinets and pantry. Read more>

Anniversaries Celebrated

This past weekend, two special anniversaries were celebrated in Mid-America.

Second Christian Church in Jefferson City celebrated their 118th anniversary.

Centennial Christian Church in St. Louis celebrated Pastor Derrick Perkins' 16th anniversary as their pastor.

Congratulations!

Lectio @ 11

All are welcome to come together for an online Advent spiritual journey. Each Tuesday, beginning November 28, we’ll meet on Zoom at 11 am for a time of centering, reflection, and prayer. We’re hoping this will be a time to step away from the routines of the week, be with others you don’t normally get to see, and engage the Word of God for the people of God.

Here’s the line-up of scripture passages: Nov.28 – Isaiah 64:1-9; Dec 5 – Isaiah 40:1-11; Dec. 12 – Isaiah 61:1-4,8-11; Dec. 19 – Luke 1:46b-55. Please join us!
