The book is  "...a beautifully crafted memoir . . . . There is a refreshing honesty . . . a slice of courage in a world that too often refuses to admit its vulnerability. . . . Leaving Church does not bash the church. It is a love story about letting go and learning to live with the mystery of what may happen next." -  San Diego Tribune

Help for Burroughs Molette
There is an ongoing need to support Burroughs Molette Elementary School (BMES) in Brunswick. Most of the school's students live in poverty, and this carries over to their academic performance. For several years Glynn Episcopal Ministries (GEM) has sponsored mentors and tutors at the school. In the coming school year, they plan to implement a reward program for individual student's successes and gains. If you are interested in helping to create and/or facilitate such an undertaking, please come to a brainstorming session with Fr. Tom in the parish hall at 12:30 pm on Sunday, June 23. Contact: Fr. Tom at tom@ccfssi.org.

Backpack Buddies
The Backpack Buddies will be packing next on Wednesday, June 26, at 10:00 am. They ' ll be delivering 60 bags to McIntyre Boys and Girls Club each Friday for children who attend St. Simons and Burroughs Molette Elementary and weekend bags to Goodyear Elementary, the host site for a summer school, to children who receive food from the Backpack Buddies program throughout the school year. The Buddies may also serve the summer school program at Altama Elementary. All are welcome to join the line and feed our children in need, in Glynn County. Tour of Homes 2020 Is Ramping Up!
Many hands make light the work...

As the planning begins for the March 21, 2020 Tour of Homes, there are openings for committee chairpersons. We are looking for men and women to share their talents in the following areas; advertising, benefactors, marketing, tour buses, sponsors and signage. If you'd like to help with this most worthwhile project please contact the chairs, Susie Henning and Tami Black.
EWC 2019 Tour of Homes Grants Awarded

It is with tremendous excitement that the Christ Church ECW announces a very generous gift of $70,000 to local and regional charities! These gifts come from the combined proceeds of the annual Tour of Homes this past March, as well as the year-long sales of the Christ Church cookbook. Many, many thanks to our Christ Church family and the many dedicated community volunteers who helped us with both projects this year. Lives will be touched thanks to your time and efforts! To see the list of this year's beneficiaries, go to TourofHomes.org

Christ Church Gift Shop - Now Open!

Our new Christ Church Gift Shop, (inside the Parish House, across from the reception area), is now open on Sundays, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Come browse the assortment of unique items available, including hand-made prayer beads and our new history book. We'll also be adding new and seasonal items each week, so come by and check out the inventory. If you would like to make a purchase, cash, checks and credit cards are acceptable.

Our goal is to eventually have the shop open on a regular basis on weekdays, as well as Sundays, so we're looking for volunteers to serve as shopkeepers. Training will be provided. If you're interested in helping with the shop, please contact Ellen Kuehm at 912-996-3392 or at  ekuehm@gmail.com
