Election Preview and Information

As an industry that is significantly impacted by government regulations and political actions, it is essential that all of us remain aware and engaged on the issues that affect our communities including those on the ballot. November 7th is another important election for housing. If you are a resident of the City of Tucson, or eligible to vote in the Vail Incorporation, this communication is intended to provide you with the background to make informed decisions when you cast your vote.

Pima County DSD Educates Members on New Online System

SAHBA welcomed the team from Pima County DSD to provide a hands-on learning session on their new online permitting submittal system. Special thanks to Rick Wilburg and Ramon Gallegos from Pima County who led this training and provided support and answers to SAHBA member questions.

In case you weren’t able to join us, you can access the video of the session here.

SAHBA on the Speaker Circuit

One of the important roles SAHBA plays in the community is to meet with groups and organizations to provide updates on what’s happening in the local home building industry. This is an opportunity to share with non-industry professionals key information and perspectives that advance the narrative of home building and related economic benefits.

SAHBA President David Godlewski recently made a presentation at the MAP Talk: What the Future Holds for Tucson’s Economy and Housing Market. The MAP Dashboard is an initiative housed out of the UA Eller College of Management. David was joined by SAHBA member Will White of Land Advisors.

Just this week, David presented at the Arizona Association of Community Managers Community and Regional Update. SAHBA Member Cadden Community Management helped coordinate the meeting.
