Rector's Ramblings

I was blessed to be able to attend my in law's 50th wedding anniversary party in Pennsylvania this past weekend. The drive wasn't particularly fun this time around, but it was certainly worth it. Fifty years of marriage is quite a milestone, and something to celebrate! Donna did much of the planning, with assistance from her sister and me as needed, and it turned out very nicely. A lot of family and friends gathered for fellowship and some good food to celebrate the couple.

Worship

Worship Schedule
Join us for weekly worship at Christ Church. Regular weekend worship services take place on Saturdays at 5:30 pm at St. Ignatius Chapel, on Demere Road, and on Sundays at 8:00 am, 9:15 am (church), 9:15 am (parish hall) and 11:15 am at Christ Church, Frederica.  Kidurgy, our Liturgy of the Word for younger children, takes place during the 9:15 am worship service at Christ Church. On Wednesdays, at 12:00 pm, a Healing service is held at Christ Church and at 6:30 pm, X Church takes place.
Choral Evensong

On a wet, gloomy Tuesday evening, our young Christ Church singers and readers warmed the hearts of all who attended the Choral Evensong on October 15. Their voices, combined with the prayers and liturgy, made for a deep and meaningful worship experience. We thank them for their hard work in preparing for this service and look forward to hearing from them again.
Special Musical Guest This Weekend
David Puckett will be joining us this weekend as our musical guest artist.  He and Christ Church baritone, David Lowe, will offer He's Got the Whole World for prelude and Wade in the Water during Communion at St. Ignatius on Saturday and the 9:15 am and 11:15 am liturgies in the church on Sunday. Read more about David Puckett  here.

All Saints Sunday
November 3 is All Saints Sunday this year. This is a time of reflection and celebration, as we remember those who have died. We will be collecting their names for the All Saints Book of Remembrance. If you would like to have the name of someone who has died since last year's All Saints Day services read during this year's services, please be sure to add his or her name to the book, which will be available in the weeks leading up to All Saints Sunday.
