Important Parent Survey

Families from selected NJ schools have been mailed a survey about how schools are supporting parent involvement in their child’s educational program.

Anonymous responses to the survey will be summarized to provide important information to the state and districts about:

Ways that NJ schools are supporting parental involvement
Improvement strategies that are needed at the state and local level

We encourage families to complete and return the survey as the results are publicly reported at the School District and State levels.

Natural disasters, such as a flood, earthquake or hurricane often lead to families being displaced from their homes.

Students who do not have a “fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence” are considered to be “homeless” for educational purposes. This makes them eligible for specific educational services and exempts them from some enrollment requirements in order to ensure continuity of education.
