Massachusetts Psychiatric Rehabilitation Collaborative (MassPRC) Caregiver Training
Tuesday, November 30, 2021
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
This training will provide an overview of the current state of caregiving in the United States. We will discuss the challenges that we face in caregiving, and how we deal with chronic stress and trauma in our work and in our families. We explore how our organizations can adapt to better serve our needs as caregivers, so that we can better care for our patients, individuals using services, and loved ones. We will discuss our experiences as caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and consider how our experiences can inform the future of caregiving. We will reflect on how our society often fails to invest in caregiving, and brainstorm how to build a culture that recognizes the value of caregiving. This training will be of particular interest for those in direct care roles and nurses.
