News You Can Use from Project GRACE - January/February 2022
Relying on Our Neighbors
Mainers are really good at resilience. We're prepared for winter weather, we come together as a community when there's a challenge, and we're quick to pitch in to clear away the snow, share a warm meal, and check in with our senior neighbors living on their own. We've got this. We hope everyone stays safe and warm during this weekend's storm.

Below are links to resources you or a neighbor can use. You'll find more on our website or social media.

Is your family ready for emergencies? Find out at the Scarborough Fire Department's free program on February 10th. Learn about self-sufficiency during an emergency; assembling an emergency preparedness kit; creating a communication plan; strategies to protect household members, valuables, and important documents; and community resources. >>Register with Scarborough Adult Ed
Free Covid Tests
The Biden administration is expanding access to at-home Covid-19 tests. The government will mail up to 4 rapid antigen test kits to all US residential addresses. The tests are free. To get yours, go to covidtests.gov and fill out the online form. Tests ship in 7-12 days by USPS. If you need a test more quickly, contact your health provider, visit Maine's Covid info page, or call the hotline at 1-888-445-4111. The hotline also has info about clinics offering vaccines and boosters.
