We Mourn the Passing of Our Founding Member

Rabbi Rosette "Rosie" Barron Haim, 64 years old, of Beechwood, Ohio was one of the longest-serving congregational rabbis in Greater Cleveland. She will be remembered for her deep and enduring love for the Cleveland community, the larger Jewish community and Israel.

Rabbi Rosie was both a founding member and a board member of ZRC. She was a source of light, inspiration and encouragement. We have lost a leader and true friend who was passionately committed to ZRC's mission of Ahavat Yisrael.

MAY THEIR MEMORIES BE FOR A BLESSING

By Our Rabbis

This week we feature a column written by Amanda Goldstein (3rd year rabbinical student at Yeshivat Maharat) about our recent conference.

….For rabbinical students like me, this conference was not a luxury, but rather a necessity. The speakers who addressed us offered the intellectual framework and moral clarity that our generation of rabbis will need to lead with clarity of purpose and conviction of message. The conference opened a question that wove through every session: How do you fight for truth in an environment that rewards distortion?....
