November 3, 2020 General Election Updates
Following the November 3rd General Election, the Camden County Board of Elections & Registration (BoER) performed a Risk Limiting Audit (RLA) between November 13 and November 18 after Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger called for this Statewide audit and recount of the election results. All ballots were recounted by hand. This recount was open to the public and included election monitors appointed by both parties. Only the race for President of the United States was counted during this audit. The results of the RLA can be found on the Camden County Website.

Additionally, on November 30, the Camden County BoER began a livestreamed machine recount of General Election votes. BoER staff conducted Logic and Accuracy (L&A) testing on the main scanner to ensure that the scanner accurately counted each ballot cast. Following the L&A testing, BoER staff began the recount of all ballots cast in the November 3rd General Election. Two monitors from each political party were allowed to view the recount scanning process from the BoER offices. The Vote Review Panel (VRP) met on December 2 to adjudicate any ballots with questionable marks and determine the intent of the voter. A representative from each party sat on the VRP along with a member of the BoER staff. To learn more, please view the Election Summary Report.
