Not to discourage you, I include an article on the discomfort of airplane travel.
To encourage you to take a vacation, I include the sad story of the addict lawyer.

Paying a Price for 8 Days of Flying in America
By: Sarah Lyall
June 9, 2017
On the sixth day of my weeklong odyssey across America by air, I found myself wedged into a middle seat in the far reaches of a flight from Des Moines to Phoenix, wearing the sweatpants I had slept in. Angry at the in-flight movie system and feeling hungry, I turned to my carry-on lunch: a container of yogurt.
A high-powered Silicon Valley attorney dies. His ex-wife investigates, and finds a web of drug abuse in his profession.
In July 2015, something was very wrong with my ex-husband, Peter. His behavior over the preceding 18 months had been erratic and odd. He could be angry and threatening one minute, remorseful and generous the next. His voice mail messages and texts had become meandering soliloquies that didn't make sense, veering from his work travails, to car repairs, to his pet mouse, Snowball.
We just went on a vacation and one of our stops was Rotterdam. When Tom suggested it, I was lukewarm on the idea. However, I am happy to report that it is a great place to visit. When you think of the Netherlands, Amsterdam comes to mind. Nothing against it, but it is overrun with tourists. Even though I am a tourist, I do not want to hang out with a bunch of other tourists. Rotterdam is not a tourist magnet.
