HOW TO MAKE YOUR PHONE LESS OBNOXIOUS

Blog By: Carla Cotropia

By obnoxious I mean the phone always ringing when you don't want it to ring.  I don't need an annoying ringtone jarring my nerves, especially when I am on my last nerve.  I decided to help my phone be less obnoxious by having some of my favorite songs as ringtones.  I had to go to the Apple store so they could show me how to purchase them (I know, very lame) but now that I know how.  The ringtones are $1.29 a piece so I went on a spree and bought several.  Now I can change my ringtone depending on my mood.  Having a different ringtone makes my day a little different and better.

"Every mesquite tree tastes different, so you have to walk around tasting them all," says chef Rocky Barnette about the southwestern plant that grows plentifully in Marfa, Tex., where he lives and cooks. The indigenous flora and fauna of the sleepy town have become an obsession for Barnette. So much so that in December, he will launch a preconquest tasting menu - a collection of dishes inspired by the ancient cuisines of the region - at the Capri , the restaurant and events space owned by his wife, the arts and culture philanthropist Virginia Lebermann.
