Since the campaign kickoff on September 23, 2020
- We have conducted 8 Zoom Parlor Meetings with approximately 165 participants.
- We have received one-time and ongoing donations from over 153 OJC households, friends, and organizations and we are still averaging above our target donation of $613 per household.
- Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous OJC congregant, we were able to raise an additional $11,034 during a December 2020 “matching drive” (18 x $613). A special Kol HaKavod to our anonymous donor and all who have participated in this campaign.
Yes, we’ve had a tremendous start, but we can’t slow down now! Our Zoom Parlor Meetings will continue to ensure that everyone who wants to Reflect and Connect with Nancy and Rabbi Scheff to celebrate their 25 plus years at the OJC will have a chance to do so.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already, please make a donation in an amount that is meaningful to you.

Governor Cuomo just signed legislation repealing the discriminatory walking while trans ban. Thank you to everyone who made phone calls.
OJC and the Rockland Pride Center needed our help - and we responded!
After years of work by LGBTQ+ activists, New York State repealed a piece of legislation that has become known as "Walking While Trans" (formally Loitering for the Purpose of Prostitution).
To celebrate Purim and Esther's and Mordechai’s victory over Haman, Jewish Rockland is holding its first ever Hamantaschen Wars.
