Masks and social distancing will be required at the OJC for all indoor and outdoor services and gatherings for the foreseeable future. This applies to all attendees, regardless of vaccination status.

Shabbat services will also be broadcast via Zoom webinar if you prefer to stay at home to pray with our community!
The entire OJC community is invited to join together in the parking lot on the 5th night of Chanukah to celebrate the festival of lights. Enjoy an amazing fire performance, an outdoor candle lighting (with our tiki torch chanukiah!), and sufganiyot (donuts).
In case you missed the announcement, didn't realize that Hanukkah is coming right after Thanksgiving, or just forgot to order latkes or dinner for Friday, December 3rd, the Hanukkah Shabbat sale has been extended through Sunday evening, November 28th. Contact Diane Goldstein or 845-623-8379

We had 40 registered donors, 31 Whole Blood Donations, and 5 ALYX Double Red Cell Donations. This resulted in 41 total donations, which translates to 123 lives saved.

Despite the obstacles of the pandemic, the OJC community has yet again triumphantly risen to the occasion. The NYBC is very grateful for our contribution, as are the patients and hospitals that will benefit from our efforts.

Thank you all for making this year's Blood Drive a success.

Brittnay Alter
The weekend of 11/20-11/21/2021 was the Orangetown Jewish Center's annual Mitzvah Weekend. There were events and activities for every age and interest, both in person and on zoom. We are overjoyed by the success of this weekend which was evident by the participation of the OJC community.

There are many talented and creative people that are due a world of thanks for their hard work and dedication to the success of Mitzvah Weekend. They are the following: Amichai Margolis, Sharon Rappaport, Brittnay Alter and her team, Sabina Tyler, Tammi Fox, Lindsay Goldman, Jessica Turnof, Joey Levine, Samantha Bosalavage, Cynthia Williams, Krista and Joe.

And of course, a very special thank you to Rabbi Scheff, Rabbi Drill, and Rabbi Hersh for their inspiration, assistance and support through the many weeks that went into planning Mitzvah Weekend.

Susan Edelstein and Carol Blau
Join us and special guest Scott Richman, ADL NY/NJ Regional Director for the second of our dynamic series of ADL Signature Synagogue events. The New Antisemitism picks up where we left off, and touches upon the themes from this year’s Never is Now Conference, exploring the complexities and changes we’ve seen in antisemitism over the last few years.

This free program is open to all, and registration is required, so feel free to share, and sign up now.
