VOLUNTEER TO READ TORAH/HAFTARAH ON SHABBAT & HOLIDAYS

IT'S TIME TO TAKE DOWN THE SUKKAH & WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Sunday, November 3 at 9:00 AM

This is one of those projects that is fully dependent on volunteers, so please come lend a hand!

Contact David Schlossberg

or Josh Turnof

We’ve had a truly special High Holiday season here at the OJC, and now, as we look ahead, we’d love to hear about your experiences. Your voice is important for continuing to build a strong, connected community.

This High Holiday Engagement  Questionnaire is designed to gather your valuable insights so we can shape future High Holiday services and programs that truly resonate with our congregation. We’ve kept the questionnaire short and simple. It won’t take much of your time but it is a meaningful way for you to contribute to the direction and growth of our congregation.

FAMILY PROGRAMMING

Join other children for a Shabbat morning experience at 10:45 each Saturday. No RSVP required.

Join families with young children for an informal and fun Saturday evening. We will say goodbye to Shabbat with all of our senses with a beautiful Havdallah service, the children will settle in to watch a Disney movie while the grownups hangout, and everyone will enjoy a lite dinner before heading home for bedtime. RSVP required!

As we conclude Mitzvah Day, join Yardena Schwartz, author of "Ghosts of a Holy War," a book about the 1929 massacre in Palestine that ignited the Arab-Israeli conflict (currently the #1 New Release in Jewish History on Amazon). Meet the author for a conversation filled with insights and discovery. Books can be purchased ahead of time or at the event (and the author will sign books at the event). This program will be held in person at the OJC and also available on Zoom (provided via email upon registration).
