Eighth grade students dressed like main characters from their independent reading novels this week. In addition to their costumes, they presented a slideshow explaining various parts of their novel such as: theme, conflict, protagonist, antagonist, and quote analysis.

Gnome Night:
Thursday, October 11
Our annual family celebration of art and nature will be held on the EDS Primary School Playground and woods. Dinner (hot dogs, chips, and s'mores) will be provided. Children of all ages can enjoy games, pumpkin painting, and a progressive play performed by our Upper School students. Join us from 5:00-6:30 pm. All activities are free!

Check In/Out Process
All families must check in at the front office when dropping off or picking up a child outside of regular drop off and pick up times. If you email a teacher about your child being absent or leaving early, please copy Shannon Dierlam (sdierlam@evansvilledayschool.org) on the email to keep the office informed.

Good Luck at Sectionals
Upper School Girls Soccer!
Our Upper School girls soccer team was cheered on to a win at their sectional game last night. They are competing for the sectional title this Saturday at North Posey at 2:00 pm. Come out and cheer them on!

Congratulations Middle School Cross Country Runners!
At the Middle School States competition, the boys team took 6th place out of 16 teams and 179 runners at the championship. Top 25 Medal Placements were awarded to Marshall Traylor who came in 13th place and Andrew Foster who came in 22nd place.

The Girls team came in 11th place out of 13th teams and 125 runners. Top 25 medal placement was awarded to Sydney Traylor in 15th place.
