We hope the new school year has gotten off to a fabulous start for all our OM students! Best of luck this year on your studies!


A couple of fun events are coming up in the Village. The OM Fall Festival will be on Saturday, October 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the village center. The OMHS Marching Band and the Stevens Forest Elementary School PTA hot dog stand will be back, as will be other school organizations. Find more details in the flyer below.


And on October 25 at 10:30 a.m. at The Other Barn, Lively Arts for Little Ones will be back with Chris Campbell. Take a look at the flyer below for a complete lineup of the 2024-25 season.

5th grade Community Action Team Bag Collection Project

The SFES 4th grade Community Action Team is working on a project to help the environment by collecting plastic bags. If they collect 1,000 pounds by November 15, the collected plastic will be turned into a bench.


Bring your plastic bags to the large white collection box located in the vestibule outside of the school office, or contact lindsay.m.cox@gmail.com or Valerie Patel at valpatelval@gmail.com to donate. A Message from the Health Room

The Health Room needs leggings, sweatshirts, socks, and new underwear in all sizes for children who need to change at school and have no spare clothing. Any donations of gently used clothing is appreciated. Your child may take items directly to the Health Room. Thank you so much for helping our community!

Strategic Planning Community Meeting

September 17, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

HCPSS students, families, staff and community members are invited to attend a virtual meeting to help inform the school system’s new strategic plan by providing input about stakeholder values.

HCPSS is building a new strategic plan for the future of our school system and wants to hear from our community. Parents/guardians can complete a brief online survey by Friday, September 20 to provide input about their values for the school system.

CA Points Program

The CA (Columbia Association) Points Program is offered to students in grades 3-12 enrolled in the Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS) program at participating schools. Students can earn a free CA membership for themselves and their immediate family through their grades and attendance. ​​​​​​​To enroll your student, please complete the CA Points Enrollment Form. Online enrollment will close on Friday, September 27, 2024. For more information, visit CA Points Program or email CAPoints@ColumbiaAssociation.org

Update Your Student's Family File

Each year, parents/guardians are required to complete emergency information for their students through Family File. This information must be updated to receive the name of your student's teacher for the upcoming school year.  Complete Family File by logging into HCPSS Connect, selecting the More Options tab on the left, and then selecting Family File.
