OMHS's 50th Anniversary

Volunteer Opportunities

  • The THES Media Center is in need of volunteers to help out with shelving books. No previous experience is necessary. Mrs. McIlvain will train those who wish to help out. If you have any questions regarding specific details, please contact her at leah_mcilvain@hcpss.org 
  • Outdoor Seating: monitor the students for outdoor seating. Interested adults (18 and over and out of high school) please complete the interest form here and you will be contacted with specific details.

HCPSS has confirmed the window for the 2023 high school graduations. Ceremonies will be held in person at Merriweather Post Pavilion, with the exception of Cedar Lane School, which will be held at the school.

  • May 25, 3:00 p.m. – Budget Adoption & Regularly Scheduled Meeting (no evening session)
  • June 8, 4:00 & 7:00 p.m. – Regularly Scheduled Meeting

OMLTT Dinner and Dialogue Series: Experiencing OM

Discuss how residents of diverse backgrounds experience life in Oakland Mills. Dialogue will include discussion on bias, racial equity, and inclusion. Dinner is free but registration is required. Space is limited.

Oakland Mills Online (OMO) is an online social learning platform founded by Oakland Mills families to keep our community connected while we are socially isolated.

Oakland Mills Local Leadership Team's mission is to make the village of Oakland Mills an inclusive, equitable and connected community that values and supports the healthy development of all children, youth and families.

HC DrugFree provides resources and education on prevention, treatment, recovery, and health and wellness to help Howard County residents develop knowledge and skills to understand and address behavioral health (substance use and mental health) disorders. HC DrugFree website

Oakland Mills United (OMU) is a community group started by recent OMHS graduates that advocates for the OM community and its schools and offers tutoring and college help. OMCA is a proud partner with OMU.
