March 5-11,  2017

Dear Friends,
Many of you have been asking how Fr. Tony is doing and I understand that everyone is concerned about his recovery.  I have been visiting with him  on Sunday afternoons and will continue to do so for the duration of his leave.  Please allow me to assure you that Fr. Tony is doing well.  In case you missed my announcement in Church, his surgery went as well as was expected, there were no unexpected surprises or complications, and he is recovering well at home.  Please continue to give Fr. Tony, Judith, and their family their privacy, and more importantly, please continue to keep them in your prayers.

I am aware that some have expressed concern that the congregation has not been given any more information than this.  I realize that some people find this frustrating, but please understand that Fr. Tony, in consultation with Bishop Eaton, has decided to keep any further details private at this time, as I am sure many of you would also choose to do if you were in his shoes.

Fr. Tony and I expect that he will return to his full ministerial duties in early April.  In the meantime please provide him the privacy that he has requested, which means he is not accepting phone calls or text messages, and that he is not reading his email.  If you would like to send him any notes of support, you may mail them directly to his home, or leave them at the Church Office and I will deliver them to him  on Sunday.  I know that he appreciates your thoughts and prayers.

In the meantime, you can rest assured that the work of the Parish is continuing.  The Senior Warden, in accordance with Church Canons, and myself are maintaining the day-to-day operations of Holy Sacrament.  As we all work together I ask for your patience, and again for your prayers.  I am blessed that this is a strong congregation that is very active and that our work together continues.  The best gift that we can give Fr. Tony during this time is our love and support, and demonstrating that the mission and ministry of this Church continues in spite of his absence.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Lillieth Rankine, our Senior Warden.

Many Blessings,
Fr. Jeremy+
