REACH OUT
Strengthening the IE Community through Our Programs

Women's History Month

In honor of Women’s History month, we would like to highlight our great leader, Executive Director Diana Fox.

Diana is a community visionary and trailblazer who joined Reach Out 17 years ago and is the backbone of the organization. When she first started there were only four employees and Reach Out operated on a small budget. Since then, the organization has seen exceptional growth under her leadership. In addition, she has established a team that shares her passion for Reach Out’s mission to strengthen communities by bringing people together to solve our region’s toughest issues: breaking barriers to educational achievement, expanding economic opportunities, and creating safe, healthy, and innovative communities.

When asked to share her most memorable successes she expressed, “I am always especially excited about creating space for community members to bring to fruition

their vision of what an environment for a joyous life looks like. The National Innovative Communities Conference is one such space – so much positive change has had its start at NICC,” she said.

“Healthy Jurupa Valley, which engages residents to work across the social drivers of health that they choose, continually inspires me with their creativity, commitment, and accomplishments. Also, one thing that has long been a dream of the Reach Out team is to have a resource center where everyone is welcome and where all can receive every support they need to be well, grow and thrive. And now, that’s becoming reality on March 23rd in Jurupa Valley.

And lastly, one particularly poignant highlight of my tenure at Reach Out has been the last three years of work fighting a deadly pandemic. In partnership with so many equally dedicated nonprofit organizations, our counties’ Public Health departments, and the indefatigable Reach Out team, our region was able to save many thousands of lives that would have been otherwise lost.”

Diana also says that any time she has an opportunity to share Reach Out’s Bill of Rights for All Residents of the Inland Empire, that’s a priority (see below).

If you believe in justice, dignity, and equity for all, we welcome your continued allyship in the fight for these rights for all residents.
