Welcome New Students
We would like to welcome Kennedy and Blakelee Decker to OCCS. Kennedy joined Mrs. Ardene Huisman's first grade class and Blakelee joined Mrs. Diane Krommendyk's second grade class. They are of the Tyler Decker family. Welcome to OCCS!
Marching Band Fundraiser
The OCCS Tiger Marching Band students are doing a fundraiser to help raise money for their trip to the Pella Tulip Time in May. They are selling Pampered Chef items. You can place an order directly with a marching band student or you may place an order through this link: Tiger Band Pampered Chef Fundraiser. All orders need to be placed by February 1.
Congratulations Honor Band Students!
This year's honor band selections have been made, but were made in a bit of a different process than in the past. The kids had to send in audition videos this year instead of auditioning in person. We had 11 students selected to the Northwest Iowa Honor Band.
  • Flute: Autumn Bousema
  • Clarinet: Callie Karhoff, Madison Hoogland, Lily Bonnema, Kallie Zwart, and Kate Van Grouw
  • Tenor saxophone: Jaelye Woudstra
  • Trumpet: Mackenzie Huizenga and Caden Oolman
  • Baritone: Kendra Breems and Kortney Hofmeyer.
Jaelye and Mackenzie both got first chair for their instruments so they will also get to participate in the All-Iowa 8th Grade Band Festival in May.
TRIP News
  • Wednesday Bonus: Shop with Scrip will be revealing a 1-day bonus every Wednesday this month. You will need the RaiseRight app to see each bonus.
  • TRIP hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am - 12:30pm. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00am - 3:30pm.
