A Look Back at the
127th Diocesan Convention
| |
The 127th Diocesan Convention took place last Saturday, October 28 at The Cathedral Domain. It was a full day for the business of the church, and also a time of gathering, celebration and Holy Eucharist. Session #1 included the call for resolutions from the floor, nominations placed before the convention, budgets placed before the convention, the Bishop's address and a special presentation of Godly Play which inspired some deep questions for the diocese, and responses from the diocese. Session #2 included elections and hearings. Session #3 began with a special presentation of a tribute to the Ven. Bryant Kibler for his years of service, as he is retiring. There was also a report from the Budget Committee and approval of budgets, announcement of the date and location of the next convention, Christ Church Cathedral in Lexington, and more. And very special thanks to everyone involved with the Cathedral Domain, offices of the Bishop and around the diocese who made this day possible.
