March 2026

Greetings, District 4!

March is already here, bringing in warmer weather, longer days, and the spring blossoms. It's the perfect time to get outside and enjoy our award-winning parks. This year marks the 40th anniversary of our Parks and Recreation Department!

Back in 1986, Gwinnett County had only a handful of parks, but today we proudly host 53 unique and beautiful parks. Our 145 miles of multi-use paths include a variety of trails suited for all different preferences and skill levels. One of my favorite spots for a walk is the Environmental & Heritage Center in Buford, which has over five miles of natural and paved trails. There's even a braille trail designed for sight-impaired visitors! I hope to see you out walking or biking soon.

As Chairwoman Hendrickson said in her State of the County address last Friday, this nationally renowned parks system has hosted the milestones of so many lives over the last 40 years – and still does every day! So, if you’re looking for a gathering place to hold your next family reunion or birthday party, I encourage you to check out our parks.

I'm also excited to see everyone at this month’s Town Hall and The Water Tower in Buford. The details are provided below.
